I have gained 50 lbs in the past year on Effexor Xr, 225 mg/day. I am SICK about it. And just last week started the long process of trying to wean off. I havnt decided if i'm going off AD permantly, or my last AD option, which is Prozac (I've been through most AD already with no luck). I can't handle this weight gain anymore, I don't even recognize myself. So hopefully in about 6 weeks, i'll be off the effexor, and we'll see what happens with the weight. Anybody else gone off that has gained weight? Will the weight just "come off" or am I gonna have 50 lbs. to work off?Thanks.
