My main, number one occupation has been Mom. At one point I got one of my sons to listen to me as I listed all the different jobs I have had in my life, he responded, boy, you sure have done a lot of different things...photographer, Tv Camera Operator, Retail sales (books, housewears, fine jewelry) Non profit promototions, business development, marketing (including custom computer design sales) office manager (business owner), car sales...but I never did do what college trained me for, ba ed. Cant stand rooms full of screaming children, never could...should have changed my major ten times...and I always made enough to pay the babysitter and fix the car, until, I started selling cars. I started that job because my business partner had just gotten a different job, which meant our business was done. The kids were old enough I could work full time. In three months made more money than I had in a year and I did more with the access to reestablishing credit and contributing to non profits than I had done in over three years talking to banks and doing business plans...Funny how those blue collar, just get in there and get your hands dirty jobs if you had a common sense head on your shoulders type jobs can earn you a bit of dough ray me.

In reading all these posts, I reflect on how all of us have parts of our lives where things aren't just right and that is what we see...some of those parts include an individual we have depended on for care and direction and for some reason, perhaps because that doctor hadn't had lunch yet, for example, they let us down. Ranting and Venting is a wonderful process...and I agree...with Pax, the no smoking section is a lot like the non peeing section of the pool

p.s. never done food service...and, when the service is good, I tip big, I figure it is all hard hard work.
