Another doctor won't likely call in a prescription unless he works in the same office and can access your chart; in that case, he might.

Regarding the Remeron, I like to have my patients hang out at 30 mg for a few weeks and then go up to 45 mg if a full response is not reaced at 30 mg.

Why do you cry when someone does something kind for you?? Perhaps you have given yourself the answer already..."I need it so deeply." Besides, look again at your novocaine allegory. For painful experiences you were taught to grin and bear it. Kind experiences were almost nonexistant. Kindness does touch the heart and make people cry (look at any Hallmark commercial), and for people that don't have much early experience with it, it can reach a point where almost any gentle action can be overwhelming.
