aw, kid. you always seem to have the perfect words to say. i'd never think that you are a 'nerd' or 'geek' or 'egghead'. a calculator watch doesn't make you one. and besides, i tend to favor "unconventional" looks. just the other day, i saw a man at a restaurant and thought he was darling (was he you?). i was too shy to approach him (he looked to have a mean wife as well). i explained him to my sister saying, "he's bald with curly hair." she laughed at my oxymoron. i finally pointed him out and she said, "his hair isn't curly, it's messy. and besides, he's at least 60 years old!" i thought him darling and so wanted to tell him how darling he is. perhaps i missed my chance to brighten his day? how would you feel if a random girl off the street said that to you? "i think you are darling." i'm still not sure how he'd have taken it. i missed my chance and my timing's still off. perhaps one day i'll get it right. but, on the upside, i touched every other hand there. just not the one i wanted.....
