I was just gonna ignore this thread hoping it might disappear. But after reading some of the disparaging cracks made about me, I unfortunately feel compelled to dispell this vicious rumor. Now I'm not saying that I actually own a Casio model #272 Super Spy calculator watch. But as an Electrical Engineer, it would be considered perfectly acceptable and I might add *fashionable* attire! OK...OK...Yes, yes I do wear a calculator watch. I bought it for myself. It was not a gift from my wife as someone here suggeted. The last time my wife gave me a gift that was ticking I immediately submerged it in the bath tub and called the bomb squad. But I digress. Not only is a calulator watch *extremely* handy, I feel it makes a strong statement about who I am. Some people might say "geek"..."egghead"..."nerd" I say nay!! Nay I say!! I think the calcualtor watch, with its timeless (no pun intended) beauty and regal styling says I'm a guy on the go! A busy guy...dam*it! A man who at a moments notice might need to do some very important...and I mean VERY important calculations involving Ohm's law or a 27% discount on a really snappy pair of K-Mart penny loafers. So ridicule, make fun, have a chuckle at my expense. But the next time you are frantically attempting to figure out whether to buy the store brand 16oz size of creamed corn or the Green Giant 24oz family size,(and I have actually seen this happen) who wil be laughing then. Hmmmm?
