Skittles - WOW! Certainly, that wasn't what any of us thought her response would have been. The first time I went to therapy, I can't even remember the amount of times I walked out during my session, ranting "I quit!" She always would call me a day or two later, make another appointment and work it out. Always!! She always led by example. When 2 people disagree about something, anything, they should be able to talk about their hurt feelings. I learned so much from that experience.
I am so sorry she over-reacted. Sounds like you are being the grown-up and she is acted like a child. SO SORRY. Sending good vibes your way,
