WEll from my recent experience I would be very careful with just taking magnesium. I think the problem is that everyone is different - and whilst most people if not all will benefit from extra magnesium, some people (like me) seem to need both calcium and magnesium. I read on the acu-cell site that IF magnesium levels go above calcium or something like that - then there will be a calcium deficiency.
I think if you start suffering arrythmias (like me) it is best to add back in calcium. The last couple of days/week I've been doing this and the arrythmias have almost completely stopped. If I take magnesium alone again, I can be sure they will be back with a vengeance.
