> I took lactoferrin for a while. Is that the milk protein hydrolysate? I know lactoferrin is supposed to contain tryptophan or some such, it must be more than that. But what lactoferrin did for me was improve my gut function, better digestion, less wind etc. Supposed to be good for immunity. I stopped it because of the expense.
> DeclanNo, don't think its the same as milk protein hydrolysate but my lactoferrin is from whey, I think..so it could be a part of it?
I've seen a lot of whey protein hydosylate and whey protein isolate..and actually I wouldn't mind if someone could explain me the difference :)
I know the isolate is the whey protein broken up into pieces ..like amino acid size maybe??Then there's whey protein concentate as well..which is the unbroken one I guess..but somehow concentrated??
The there's mixes of 2 or 3 of them. I was thinking of buying some last week when it was on special at GNC. Maybe next time when I understand it all better :)
In milk there's casein (cheese contain a lot I think ) and whey protein.
I'm not sure what else, or what would be in the milk protein hydrosylate.Jan
