Probably not.

Provigil is not a classic stimulant like amphetamine or Ritalin. It has very little, if any, addictive potential. Its mechanisms of action are unlike those of the psychostimulants. Provigil is more of a promoter of wakefulness and vigilance than it is a promoter of accelerated pychomotor and euphoriant effects.

I would hope that your doctor would not discount stimulants altogether from consideration to treat his patients.
