That's very expensive, well in Canada (Quebec province). Provigil (Modafinil) cost 38$ for 30 caps of 100mg...the generic version cost 93$ for 100 caps of 100mg...

Adderall-XR cost is a lot more high...100 caps of 30mg for 275$ !!! And no insurrance cover it in the Canada.

So it's probalby why all the people use the cheap stimulants like Ritalin, 100 caps of 20mg for 48$...or Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) 100 caps of 15mg for 50$.

Coffee jitters??? Coffee have the propreities to worst the anxiety in people who are not use to drink it, but at the same time, he make people more social...In fact, coffee don't work on the brain like other stimulants. Caffeine is metabolized in the liver and acts by increasing lipolysis, leading to elevated glycerol and free fatty acid levels in the blood plasma, dilates blood vessels and increases urine volume, relaxes smooth muscles of the bronchi and is sometimes use to treat asthma. Coffee act more as an antagonist of adenosine, decrease heart rate and have coronary artery vasodilatation effects...that's probably why some newer pain killer like Tylenol or Advil contain caffein in them, that's good to take coffee and advils or tylenols at the same time, especially if you do often migraines or headache...I use this method to treat mine since a while...Nothing else I Try succedd to reduce my headache, even the most expensive newer medecine for migraine...

Tea contain theophylline and it work like the caffeine on the system, especially the cardio vascular system...but tea is less powerfull, so you have to drink more of it to feel the same effect.

The main problem with caffeine is that the body get used of it very fast...addiction and increase of dosage is needed to feel the same initial good effects. It's probaly why, in my case, I don't feel the anxiety effect of it since I drink coffee for a while and in a good amount. I can also sleep on it...

I withdraw completly of coffee last summer, stop coffee and all the others sources of caffeine... and I was worse than ever...more tired than usual and less sociable also...Since I re-introduce it in my daily regiment, I feel more well...have less headache, so yeah i'm addicted to it, but that's not worsing my social phobia problem or my anxiety...the more BIGT effect I get from it is that my hands and feets get sometimes wet. And I admit I like coffee taste...i'm not talking about Maxwell house of Folger cheap brands of coffee...lol Anyway..i'm out of subject again...

For Quintal, I wonder why your doctor will not give you Provigil? I mean, it's not like you want to use them like a recreational drug?

A good doctor will always take the time to listen to you and give good advises for you...about your special case...or your particular desease. That's what I mean...So good luck and i'm sure your doctor will help you... ;-)
