If you take a normal xanax (3mg) occasionally, you have a high peak plasma level in your blood and then you will feel some less anxiety. Clonazepam is not the best drug to use occasionally and it takes some time to have the full effect of a steady dosage. Klonopin could have some depressant properties because it has influence on serotonin transmission. Xanax is said, has some antidepressant action. I can not explain pharmacologically.
I personally have good results in occasional use with 2mg Klonopin 1-1.5 befor stressfull events.
It resembles to wine without the euphoric effect. It only has an euphoric effect for me when i feel that i am almost anxiety free.
Wine is the best "benzo" i have ever taken and i use it only in little dosages in the evening.Why you dont try the xanax xr version?
