Doctors prefer clonazepam (Klonopin) because there`s no sudden "kick-in" and "wear-off" and thus less likely to be abused. Safer (for them). (Unlike Xanax, famously abused by Dubya`s niece, who forged a prescription for it.) Whether it (clonazepam) does anything I don`t know. I take it, but I really haven`t a clue whether it does anything, or my system has just gotten used to it. I`m still incredibly anxious, but I`m afraid to wean off for fear I`d be even worse. Cecilia
