You are PROBABLY having a panic attack, but you need to be sure.
Heart attacks do not necessarily come on suddenly. Doctors call heart attacks "myocardial infarctions" which literally means "blood starvation of the heart muscle." The heart can keep beating during a mild heart attack, but you can't be sure if it will recover or if it will lose its rythym and stop beating. That's why any suspected heart attack demands prompt medical attention.
Once again, it's probably a panic attack, but you need to get another electrocardiogram to be sure. If you are still experiencing pain, go to the ER.
