Do anti-psychotics act on dopamine the same as...

Posted by jerrympls on January 27, 2004, at 20:22:46

...meds like Mirapex, Amantadine, etc?

I talked to my pdoc about adding a dopamine antagonist like Mirapex (it's an antagonist right?) she said that antipsychotics would do the same thing. But I thought antipsychotics hit different Dopamine sub receptors??

Can anyone help me sort this out??

Jerry
