Hi,

The first step is to go to your nearest social security office and apply. There will be forms to fill out and they will send you to be evaluated by a psychologist of their choosing. They will ask for your medical records, etc. Then you wait. Don't be discouraged if they turn you down at first. You just get a lawyer and keep on trying. You will have to keep records of doctor visits and medications you are on. You have to have not worked for at least six months before you can apply.
