Hi, I've had it in other joints, it's really annoying, seems whenever I find a new fitness or outdoor activity I enjoy, I do it a whole bunch and end up injured.

I have tried NSAIDs, physical therapy, ice, ice/hot water baths, trigger point massage, wraps and braces. Sadly, the one thing that works is the hardest thing, which is laying off the activity that aggravates it. It can take many weeks or months to heal, then when it does, you have to not over-do it again. It helps to have a range of activities that stress different body parts.
