Good grief! I had a similar thing happen when I was attending a day-long seminar on how to fill out a single government form (for the Department of Defense). Really.
I had a toothache the night before, and had called my dentist and made an appointment for the following day. Took some ibuprofen and went to the seminar, front tooth throbbing.
By lunch, my upper lip has swollen so that I looked like a Botox disaster. By 5pm, my eyes were slits, my nose was flattened, and I thought my head would explode. Went home to have my EX husband laugh at the sight of me.
The dentist couldn't even give me anaesthesia for pain because the access' pressure was so great. He had to drill right through it to let the absess drain, and I screamed and writhed in the chair. Never cursed a dentist so roundly just for choosing his career.Almost the grossest dental story I have...but not quite.
