I use a Waterpik because I don't like cramming my hands in my mouth, unless it's to stifle a scream. It works great on bridgework, and my gums have been in great shape. The bacteria that causes plaque and gingivitis is anaerobic, so introducing oxygenated water (the bubbles that go in with the stream) stop those buggers in their track. Their is a version available online called ShowerPik that disrupts your shower flow. No mess.
