I hate the heat too. I could never live in the south. I live in Boston and we typically get a heatwave or two lasting a week or two. Extreme humidity. I hate it. I hate it worse than I hate cold snaps. Or do I? My husband and I were talking about that recently -- what's worse, 100 degree days and humid in the summer or 10 degree days and freezing in the winter? It's easier to stay warm in cold weather than cool in hot weather, but the truth is, both stink. What I love about the northeast are the long falls and springs.
