A friend of mine has been involved in that for years.
Here (in Ontario) we call it 'belly dancing' but I suppose the connotation could be the sultry-one-with-the-come-hither-eyes!!! LOL
I would like to try it sometime. I am quite sure that there's a group in a 15 minute away town. I think it's still there.
A friend of mine is an artist & she did some amazing acrylic paintings of some of the women dancing. It was amazing how she caught the movements & the filmyness of the cloth, etc.
I hope you're soon painfree enough to do it & as to how you look or how proficient you are, I would have thought the main thing was the experience of it for YOU.
I felt teed off when you said it was as though that person was testing you or pushing you!
Not very darn nice!!I always am sort of 'blown away' by how we (women as a group) can be SO supportive & nurturing of each other ORRRRRRRRR can be absolutely horrible!!
