Mine too, only she takes atarax, which is hydroxyzine hydrochloride. Stupid me accidentally took one of hers recently. D'oh! Fortunately, it's not a no-no for any of my meds.

> It can be food, but more common is the indoor and outdoor allergies that plague a lot of us. Some breeds are more prone to it. My dog also has to have certain shampoos too or he will break out into a itching fit actually itching until he draws sores and blood. I have to bring my own that I got from my vet, with me when I take him in to be groomed. Good luck.

Yep, I carry around her shampoo and leave-in conditioner, and I have to make sure they know not to use any perfumes. Well, that's more for me, lol. And they can skip that little kerchief, too. I always just throw it out.

Mine has always had a food allergy, since puppyhood, though we didn't know it at the time. Back then, she threw up a lot and needed encouragement to eat. She got a bit better when she started on Venison and Potato dog food. Now she's on a completely vegetarian diet, including treats.

Just today, ironically, I got her blood test results back, and she's strongly allergic to dust mites. That explains why it's a year-round thing for her. She's had it so rough she's developed chronic allergic bronchitis, so she has to be on a low dose of steroids as well as a bronchodilator to feel best and not hack all over the place.

So, in two weeks we start giving her allergy shots. won't that be fun?
