So sorry you suffered as a kid. No child deserves that. I'm sorry for the pain you obviously endured.A lot of parents do the best they can. But you're right. There ARE some cases where the person should not have been allowed to have anything to do with raising a child. It sounds you deserve to have had WAYYY better people looking after you.
