They do still give tetanus for minor injuries - I had one last year when I dislodged my thumbnail with a hammer at work. The district nurse at my GP's surgery asked me if I wanted one since it had been more than 10 years since my last. I think they would give you a tetanus for an animal bite, but they do seem to have stopped calling otherwise healthy people to the surgery every ten years for a booster.
