Matt, perhaps-- Racer's program, or others like it, which I'm sure exist-- would be your answer.
There are programs where you can get training, while being employed in public service-- which alone can give you a sense of the value of what you offer-- and take you away from your home.
You can be in an environment with friends and adults who have more sense and balance than it sounds that your mother does.
Why don't you look into that-- and the military, if you still feel that a total environment like that is what you need.
Maybe, there are other ideas out there-- which you'll come across when you start looking and talking to more people. People have ideas, they know what's out there-- and maybe you can find the place that fits you.
