Interesting note: I used to live in Bloomington IN where John Mellencamp lives now. But he's a real butt. Did you know that? He rides around town sometimes in his limo, when he goes out on the river in his boat and buys cigarettes (from my friend no less) he's very rude. He actually went up to the counter and said "Gimme a pack of smokes." My friend was like, "Well, what kind would you like?" Johny boy was like, "Just gimme the blasted smokes." He finally laid an old pack down so my friend could match them up. Also, he doesn't tip well and treats servers like crap. Guess he likes living in a small town, but treats people like pooh!
I also went to a university that he used to attend. I'm full of gossip, you know??? I heard he set one of the dorms on fire, but I doubt it. He did offer to give a free concert there once, but the university wouldn't allow him to. I wonder why? Some of my old profs still remember him and said they didn't like him because he had a bad attitude.
I do like some of his music though :) I could just do without ever seeing his limo when I go back through Bloomington. My boyfriend and friends used to race that limo when we pulled up next to it in town :) We're funny like that...
