Sad fact of it is that most pdocs are pretty clueless about EDs. Either he doesn't know enough about them to be concerned, or he hopes that saying it's "gross" will be enough to stop you from doing it -- which just shows that he's pretty clueless about EDs.

Unfortunately, we here on this board are not so clueless, so do take advantage of our hard-won expertise.

Look at those last two bits, Deneb: Once upon a time, Poet was still able to control it, and could have stopped before it became a habit. And now it is tough on her. What does that tell you? And what are you going to do about it?
