Glad you're stopping before it gets compulsive. Eating disorder behaviors are some of the hardest to treat.
And purging is very bad for you. Besides the heart issue you mentioned, it damages the enamel on your teeth, and erodes the tissue of your throat and esophagus, which can lead to cancer of these areas.
Bad bad habit.
