SLS, you mentioned Carlson's. That is a topline brand. Arctic Naturals is another one. Most health food stores have the good ones.
Other than quality and freshness, sometimes not found in the cheaper brands, another important thing to look for on the bottle is that the oil is purified. No heavy metals, no mercury, no PCPs. If it doesn't specify, then I personally would not use that brand.
