I'm inclined to agree with the essence of what you're saying. Placebo response rates are so high because subjects included into trials are not
genuinely depressed, and therefore benefit less, if at all, from drug treatment. However, I don't understand why these subjects are included when they make the drug under investigation appear less effective.-undopaminergic
