Unfortunately, many people who suffer from panic disorder have occasional anxiety attacks, even when their medication is working well.
Seroxat is often very effective for panic disorder. It doesn't usually 'poop out' so long as your take it regularly on a daily basis. Be sure to take it at the same time every day in order to get the best effect.
Despite your panic attack, Seroxat IS still working! Even while you're taking medication, panic attacks can sometimes happen. Ask your doctor for a few 5 mg diazepam (Valium) tablets, ONE or TWO tablets can be taken *when required* for a panic attack. Diazepam works quickly - it's a good med to carry around with you in case you have a panic attack.

Don't do that! With Seroxat, sudden large increases in dose can worsen your anxiety (in the short term).

If you're worried, you could ask your doctor to increase your Seroxat dose to 40mg. 40mg often seems to work a bit better than 30mg for panic disorder.

Are you still taking it? Despite the problems you had at the high dose, a small dose might still be beneficial :-)

If your doctor agress, you can get a prescription for the 25mg tablets. You can reduce the dose safely in steps of 25mg.
For example....
You could take 100mg in the morning and 375mg at night tomorrow.
