All the meds we take are so weird. Can't tell what will happen. Here's some thoughts though.
A double dose of seroxat would make me have a worse panic attack or worse anxiety. It works over weeks and months to lessen anxiety, but usually actually increases anxiety when you first start taking it or when you increase the dose. Taking a double dose expecting immediate results will probably do the opposite of what you want.
Seroquel might need to be switched to something else like zyprexa. Here's what I was thinking...seroxat has a little bit of norepinephrine reuptake inhibition to it...it increases norepinephrine. Seroquel antagonizes norepinephrine receptors in a way that causes more norepinephrine to be released. So with both drugs combined, you are getting a lot of stimulation from increased norepinephrine, which would bring on anxiety and panic attacks for many people. I mentioned zyprexa because you could do a straight across switch to it, and it does not antagonize norepinephrine receptors like seroquel does.
And you could increase the dose of tranxene or try another one from that same class. If you have another panic attack and you think about taking a double dose of anything, I would take a double dose of the tranxene, not seroxat. I think the problem is not really the seroxat or the seroquel, but the combination of the two...too much over stimulation from the norepinephrine. Just my thoughts though.
