hmmm...thats a tough one. I guess you could try upping the propranolol, but the higher you go, the more likely you'll either induce or worsen a depressive episode. Lots of people hate the stuff, but I kinda like Buspar. When my anxiety got really, really bad--this was after being in a mental hospital--it just wasn't enough to do **ANYTHNG**, but for low-grade anxiety its pretty good. Its effects on the body are pretty indirect; in my experience, after about 2 weeks, it cuts down on the low-grade, generalized anxiety and nervousness..this in turn means my body is less tense and what not (this is different than benzos, which calm you down AND directly affect the somatic symptoms of anxiety). It won't do much for panic attacks and what not, but it can help significantly cut down on "background anxiety", which can often be very, very helpful. Some people respond @ 15mgs (5mgsX3daily); I responded best at 30mgs (10X3). Good luck!
