Hi Chris:
I'm VERY glad you went to the hospital.
It seems you got 'proper' meds. for your problem, Vertigo, although I'm not familiar with one of the meds. 'Antivert.'
In my case, I'm always carrying 'Dramamine'primarily designed for 'travel/motion sickness.' after milder 'dizzy spells' on the road. It was VERY scary experience NOT knowing whether I was capable to drive back home. Luckily, the dizziness subsided with time, ... probably took about a couple of hours. As for ETN, .... in my personal opinion, ... first, to give some time to see those 'two' meds. can eliminate 'vertigo,' and 'sleepless/Bernydal.' In my experience, most of doctors normally/routinely asking what med./med. combo. you've been on. If you mention all of the meds., he/she may advise you to discontinue or at least 'lower' its dosage. Someone with Bp visited the Endocriologist and the doc. advised her to take off the Lithium completely due to negative effect on her problem. She complied, however without Lithium, her 'mania' aggrevated. After that, she went immediately went back to the Lithium regimen without any manic episodes. Then, be cautious before making a trip any of those 'specialists,' unless you ABSOLUTELY feel it necessary.
Hopefully, those 'two' meds. helping your 'vertigo' soon. If you like Trileptal SO much, then stick with it, because it's tough to find the med. you really like. This is also based on my personal opinion.
H.G.
