I am on effexor,my wife is a nurse and has told me that stopping it or suddinly stopping it can cause anger or even make you have violent outburst.as with all meds that effect brain chemistry you have to expect sideeffects even ones not noted by research everyone responds differently to differnt meds.i do feel calmer takeing it none of the others have work well as effexor but i do have feelings of sometimes my heart isnot doing right.one thing to be considered with such meds is can you cope with the sideeffects better than the way you are feeling before takeing the meds.
