If you were prescribed inderal, you must need just as badly as the remeron. Why are you scared to take it? Did some one tell you something negative about the beta blocker? Beta blocker have been around way before Remeron. They are good meds when used properly. Half of my family wouldn't be here with out them.
My mother felt like she was losing her mind for years and having major paniac attacks. She thought she was even having a stroke. Her blood pressure was out of control from stressing out so much. She was mapping out ways to kill herself and then she took her beta blocker. Within 2 days, her view of her current situation totally changed. She no longer had the urges for suicide. While you may not have this drastic of a change, it really sounds like you need it. Beta blockers have been known to treat anxiety. They affect your parasympathic nervous system which will calm you down and make your heart beat more regular.
Please explain what fears are stopping you from taking a med that may really help you. I really want to hear you get some relief. You are just suffering with these symptoms too often. You may have a tool right in your hands to help you.
