I don't smoke and I stopped drinking while I was on an SSRI, Paxil. I've read posts about people stating SSRI's produced alcohol cravings but I think that is more of an excuse to drink than a craving. Zoloft hasn't given me any alcohol cravings at all. There's a study I read somewhere that people with anxiety and social phobia tend to have less desire to drink if the medication is working which makes logical sense. The medications they mentioned in the study were Zoloft and Paxil.
