Certainly school is demanding enough to cause physical and psychological difficulty, especially if you are sensitive to these demands. However, your sudden onset is worth investigating medically. You may want to consider getting a check up with your physician in addition to seeing your pdoc, in order to rule out reversible stuff.

Please take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing.As I mentioned in my titanic original post, I've gotten tested for lyme, anemia and thyroid functioning. All of these tests came back normal, so I'm kind of running out of ideas for physical causes. The doctor I saw before getting the blood tests gave me a basic neurological exam (reflexes and whatnot), and everything looked normal (aside from a hand tremor that I've always had). I'm going to see my pdoc next monday, and we'll discuss Strattera.
One thing that I didnt mention in my first post is that depression runs very strongly in my family. My dad had to take a semester off from med-school because of it, and his mother committed suicide from it. According to my dad, a lot of the things I'm describing sound familiar. The problem is, he never got any treatment when he was younger. He just sort of toughed it out some how. I'm not sure I can do that without dropping out of school.
