You stopped Cold Turkey? No tapering off by gently lowering levels in 4-day intervals, getting to a final low starting dosage where you ultimately end up taking a small dosage every other day? Advice? Don't quit cold turkey. I experienced 1 missed dosage and was dizzy and ill enough to frighten me. Some people get added relief by being put temporarily on a small dosage of another Anti-Dep to ease the withdrawal. See your doctor. Or tough it out and keep us informed. <smile> Good Luck!
KDi in TX> I've been on 300mg of Effexor XR for a little over a year and just stopped taking them about 3 days ago. So far I've experienced shaking, dizziness, my mind races at night when trying to sleep, and my emotions are all messed up. Also been hearing things like knocking when I move suddenly but don't know if that's related or not. Any information on how long the withdrawls last and ways to help them would be greatly appreciated.
