In my research of everything possible on imipramine, it seems sometimes yes it can cause weight gain...and sometimes may cause a bit of weight loss. I imagine it is also weight neutral for many also. I'd say the best bet is to give it a shot, as I have rarely had problems with TCA's causing as much weight gain as the newer SRI's and SNRI's...even if they did cause a bit. (Especially amitriptyline!)Jay
