Imipramine for Anxiety/Depression..anyone?

When I was first diagnosed with depression,(like, 1000 years ago...err..ok 12 years ago), I was given amitriptyline and 3 mg a day of Ativan (lorazepam)
Well, the Ativan worked great..but of course not the amitriptyline. Now I have to wait 3 weeks to my refferal to the Mood Disorders Clinic to get a good, *full* diagnosis.

Anyhow..I've responded well to other tricyclics, and was wondering if imipramine has kept anyone's anxiety and depression at bay? How about with a benzo?
