I am on 150mg Effexor XR daily. I drink a couple of beers nightly and up to 3 or 4 on weekends. I also did this before taking Effexor. As far as the alcohol goes I see no difference in the way it effects me. I am bipolar and Effexor and Zyprexa have been very good for me. I also work out every day and maintain a healthy diet. Just my 2 cents :)
