Dear Squiggles,
I am glad you are doing okay with klonopin, which is arguably the best benzo for long-term use. Within fifteen years you have titrated the dose two or three times means tolerance is extremely minimal compared with antidepressants. I took elavil 75 mg at first and within six months it went upto 150 mg. I began on 20 mg of prozac and right after one year dose escalated to 40 mg daily. Now I don't think prozac is doing any good for me except the alleviation of prozac-induced psychological dependence. The symptoms of depression still persist, but fortunately I have gained a natural control over it. I have been living with it for a long time and now I know how to deal with it. It is no longer a great deal to get up tired in the morning after a disturbed night's sleep and to think why should I live this life. Thinking about sex makes me nauseated, and glad I can do my duties without the pre-occupation of such thoughts even with very little motivation. Yes, this kind of life is also possible to an individual. QUITE MECHANICAL!!
