Shelli: I'm glad the Oxy is working for you.

> > Good to hear from you, wish it were under better circumstances. When did the nardil reaction occur?

About 3 weeks ago. I decreased my dose hoping that would solve it, but no luck. So I am doing a washout now (with Adderall and Neurontin). My pdoc is going to redo my QEEG on Monday, read the results on Tuesday and tells me what's what. The last QEEG I got was over a year ago and I didn't have the hyperventilation problem then that I do now.

> > > It's been about five or six weeks since I've been on this dose of oxy and my depression is under control. I don't think that's long enough to tell although I am very hopeful. I just went up another 20mg, but only because I have thought the last time I went up that it was slightly lower than it could be--I mean I'm already habituated, why not feel as good as possible, without feeling at all drugged.

5 weeks is a long time--at least you are having the response which is hopeful. But you're right to early to call the game.

> Unfortunately, it looks like I *will* be switching to methodone in a few weeks because they haven't even received the paperwork in my pdoc's office. I am only allowed to get it from them and they are putting zero energy into it.

What paper work are they supposed to do? I've read good things about methodone though. Let's hope it affects you the same as the Oxy. (Isn't it cheaper?--Is that what the med switch is all about:-(

He's talked to me regarding opiates actually. He has started working with them with some treatment resistant people.

> BTW, opiates make me anorgasmic, but I figure if I'm ever "involved" I can skip the evening dose.

Or have it after:-). I think Adderall is helpful to me for sexual dysfunction.

Thanx. I seem to be in need of luck. I'll let you know. I'd be interested if you switch to methadone to know what you think of it.
