For anyone concerned with liver complications from whatever medication, a good idea might be to keep the dose as low as possible, but augment it with something else that is beneficial to your symptoms and rejuvenating/protecting to your liver at the same time.

What could possibly do all that? SAM-e. I'm now taking it with 300mg Adrafinil and it's working quite well. The SAM-e is not only doing wonders for my depression, it is also providing liver protection. And because the Adrafinil dose is so low, liver risk is probably a non-issue anyway.
