Wow! this is really interesting . I have often wondered if I was suffering from IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) I had no idea that aspartame could cause the same symptoms. I willhave to run a test and see if my symptoms disapear if I stop using it ( I usually drink a diet coke every morning) I am relieved to know that saccharine (sp?) has been given the green light as far as some products go. I have a son who is type1 diabetic so we look for these products. Also there is a new sweetener out I have heard of called Stevia. Do you have any info on this? Thanks for the insight,Cynthia
