Your letter hits so close to home that I don't even want to respond. The worst part of this is knowing you will give him another chance, because we always seem to do exactly that. What you need to do for your own good is run far far away from him, which is the *harder* option and the wisest.
You may find our advice harsh, and maybe you even think he is different from the average addict, user and abuser. However, some of us have been there, done that, and even "IF" he recovers, we know for a fact, that it (the relationship) and He, are NOT worth it!!!
I send to you my strength and my support. No matter what you choose to do, we are still here, we still care, we'll still read and love you. It is really hard to read your letter and not react though, he really is unacceptable and we do not want you to be hurt!!!!
