Hey, Dinah! Long time no see! I was also addicted to pain pills after I shattered a bone. The doctor gave me a total of 3 months worth of oxycodone. People generally get addicted after 2-3 weeks whether you have an addictive personality or not!! I'm not sure why he prescribed me so much. I took it after I no longer needed if for pain. My own fault. Of course, I became addicted. It took me awhile to get off of it. I was still in heavy grief, so I wanted the numbness I felt from taking it.
