I too hate bras. I am anti-underwire and thankfully I can pull it off ;-).
I have a couple with the soft foamy type stuff covered with some other fabric, but whatever the foamy stuff is it seems to bunch up a bit inside after washing and drying. If I wear anything un-baggy that is the bra that I will wear because of the better support it provides.
The dryer is best avoided I think. If you can share the brand name of the bra you describe I'd love to hear it.
