And about that buttermilk pie recipe above -- ha ha silly me, once again I see that assuming something is more complicated than it is has lead me to miss out on one of life's great pleasures. Here I would have thought I'd have to go to ridiculous lengths, like removing the shells from the eggs or baking the thing!! Perfect, I'm going to serve this to company tonight. Won't they be surprised!
(Hehe just kidding, I *think* I can figure out the rest, but sadly it will probably require reference materials!)
Let me know how your first batch of butter tarts turns out! (By the way, when I look at that photo, I keep seeing a tart-shaped candle holder, due to the raisin "wick" right in the center! :)
