I made a whole mess'a buttertarts in Summer 2006. Some of them had raisins in the middle. Inspired by Larry Hoover's buttertart posts, and living far from the Canadian border, I downloaded the recipe. With help from him and other kind Canadians (are there unkind Canadians?!?) I was able to refine the recipe until it was 99% fattening and 100% delicious.

Imagine my delight when I went to Canada for a conference last year and got to eat the REAL buttertart... mine was just as good, even better 'cause it was fresh and homemade.
